At b u. s microfilmdienst gmbh we have made it our task to optimally prepare this often highly sensitive und irreplaceable information and make it useable.
b u. s. microfilmdienst gmbh is a second generation family-owned and -operated business. We are now present in four locations and are constantly connected to our main office in Cologne. We are a system and supply house offering a wide spectrum of services, especially documentation, analog and digital archiving, micrographic and reproduction, but also copying, scanning and plotting services, output management, system consulting and the sale of office machinery. Our services are rounded out with comprehensive consulting.
It is important to us that we provide services from the initial discussion right through to implementation of the optimal solution or complete archive. First we gain a detailed overview of the current archive and the customers archiving process. Based on this we then prepare an individual concept with fully functional examples.
We always want have one foot in the technical future – and personally remain as close as possible to our employees and customers. This allows us to offer, with high engagement, precisely the most practical, safe and economical solution for businesses in all sectors.

Based on our customers needs to archive digital files in a suitable format, weve been expanding our use of the friendly PDF format for several years. The customer requirements as well as our own quality standards with respect to long-term archiving have thus been fulfilled. Our intensive work with LuraTech has enabled us to offer the last and often deciding factor in challenging PDF projects.
These expectations will now be even better met with PDF/A. This is an opportunity for us to get involved in the PDF/A Competence Center and to bring the unique advantages of PDF/A to our customers. Of course we are also quite happy that the positive communications we have been actively promoting for months about PDF/A have been substantiated. This was a great proof of our innovative and forward-thinking consulting services.
